General Overview - Corporate Revival
If you miss 2 consecutive corporate annual returns, your corporation will be struck by Alberta Corporate Registries.
The articles of revival must be filed before your corporation can continue carrying on business in Alberta. Please note that all outstanding annual returns must be filed before a company can be revived.
Corporations cannot be revived if they have been dissolved for 10 or more years.

Who can revive a dissolved corporation?
Any interested person may revive a dissolved corporation.
An interested person is anyone who:

- has monetary or legal rights who has been affected by the corporation’s dissolution (e.g. a director, shareholder or creditor) and/or
- had a direct relationship with the corporation before it was dissolved

Interested person with no direct relationship to the Alberta corporation
If the interested person was never authorized to complete annual returns, or address, or director updates, the articles of revival must be sent to Corporate Registry. A revival fee may also apply. Call Corporate Registry at 780-422-1705 before you mail the forms.

How can you file for Corporate Revival?
Step 1: Complete the forms
Step 2: Get an Alberta NUANS report
If your corporation has been dissolved for 3 or more years, an Alberta NUANS report is required to find out if any similarly-named corporations were formed after your corporation was dissolved. This does not apply to a numbered corporation.
You can order the Alberta NUANS report at our office. The cost is $45.00 and it will take approximately 5-10 minutes to get the result.
Step 3: Submit the forms
Complete the online service request form below. You will need to attach all the above forms and at least one piece of government issued photo identification. (E.g. Driver's License, Passport, Permanent Resident Card ... etc.)
The cost for a Level 2 Corporate Revival is $300.00 plus $78.00 for each outstanding annual return.
The cost for a Level 3 Corporate Revival is $350.00 plus $78.00 for each outstanding annual return.
